Compared to traditional precast prestressed concrete solutions, SAND 105 and the ‘large span’ structural slabs offer the following advantages:
- TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES : High load-bearing capacity: available in different profiles with various heights and pitches and thicknesses that can be customised to suit the design requirements.
- Increased safety: the reduced weight improves the seismic resistance of the structure.
- Versatility: suitable for different types of structures, flat, curved or inclined. The perforated version offers excellent sound absorption capacity.
- Construction cost: due to the reduced weight, buildings with more compact load-bearing elements can be realised, saving money.
- Transport cost: the packaging and small size of the slabs allow larger quantities to be transported, approximately 2000/2500 m2 per vehicle.
- Labour costs: quick installation and immediate static efficiency reduce labour costs and time.
SAND 105 is available in positive, negative, perforated, with SANDnodrip nonwoven fabric to prevent condensation or with SANDcontrol nonwoven fabric to reduce noise and condensation.
